Sticking to two weapons for the moment is great in my opinion. It gives you versatility. About progression for DB: Anjanath for Fire, Jyuratodus for Water and Tobi Kadachi for Thunder. There aren't really great Ice element DB's in LR/HR so I would skip until you can pick up Beotodus DB at the very beginning of IceBorne.
