Yes, it's the same save type accross all versions. You just have to get past the tutorial portion first to at least save the game, and load a vault#.sav save file (which you can dump using Checkpoint). Don't use anything else, and delete the .bk file (back-up).

Specifically, under .....\AppData\Local\Fallout Shelter. In there will be your vault saves with a backup copy for each vault. So, for Vault 1 there will be a Vault 1 save backup file. You can delete the regular 'Vault1.sav' file then edit the name of the backup file and remove the .bkp from end of file name. Repeat this for each vault.
