I purchased a 1961 MG Midget shell originally for an EV build but I ended up also buying a completely running 73 so EV stuff will be done with that later. I was planning on getting a K24z3 and mate it with a zf BMW transmission, get a custom driveshaft made, LSD differential for the rear end, upgraded axels just to get it off the ground.My K20Z3 Head / K24a4 build. I have the complete Z3 engine with transmission, water pump, oil pump, pan, and everything else. Most of its life it has been around 18 PSI of boost HOVERING IN THE 400 WHP range. Cams: OEM 2004 Honda Accord K24A4 Head and cams. Crank: OEM K24a4. Once that engine is fully build and ready, you swap out your current engine. This takes a lot of time pressure out of the build. And things build in a hurry = issues. Once done, you can always sell your current engine and end with much of the same expense, but you have a car to drive while doing so.

The K24/k20 engine build are complete beast, unless you really want something totally builded that will push around 600-700 whp, i would go for the all motor build. 5 speed transmissions are more solid than the 6 speeds, at 300-350 whp i would use the stock 5 speed transmission that comes with 2,4 vtec engines.

The only issue is the placement for the shifter cables is not the same as K20z3.. The cables will not bolt up to the bracket AND your mechanism and work the gears properly.
