My doctor said I have a better chance than most of going early, but he also said not to get my hopes up because you can still never tell. But of course my hopes are up!! without blood, losing chunks and gobs of mucus plug doesn’t matter much. Even with blood sometimes it doesn’t matter. people can be 2-3 cm dilated a month or more before labor. Dilation before labor really doesn’t mean much either. Relax! You’re probably okay.I went in to have my membranes stripped early in the morning at 2cm and by midnight I was having contractions 6-8min apart. I did do some walking and ate spicy food through out the day. By 3am I was at the hospital 5cm dilated. They had me walk for an hour in the hall to get me to 6cm then I was admitted :)The baby came basically 48 hours after we got to the hospital but 44 hours of that was getting from 1.5 to 7. However 7-10 took less than a half hour. Wow congratulations!!! And thank you!
