I replaced it because I had a constant overheating problem whenever idling, which in Houston traffic happens quite frequently. No problems at all when driving, just idling. So, I live in San Diego Ca and I have a 2015 jeep wrangler jk 3.21 gears with wrangler jl tires and rims, so I was driving to julian ca this weekend and I noticed my jeep was slightly overheating the needle was a bit passed the center and my temp was 230 driving 65 mph over hills and semi hot weather and I was trying to figure put if it was normal or not!

If the dealer believes that the trans. is causing the engine to run that hot which caused it to overheat then it could be a bad torque converter.

Just a hot burning smell. There is no smoke from hood or vents. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine compartment looks fairly clean. Usual dust. Oil is fine. Coolant is ok. It hasn't been rust proofed or greased in any way. It's a 2010 so it's not burning stickers off or oils from manufacturing.
