Ordered a new clutch. That clutch worked for about one year and started shifting issues again. The new belt is the right part number. I read where the belt is directional so I made sure to mount it correctly. The new drive belt is 1 1/4 inches across the top which it should be. The old belt was worn to 1 1/8 inches. Get in a position so you can watch the primary clutch when the engine is running. Rev the engine a bit so you can see the primary clutch close. Then let the engine go to idle. And while carefully watching the primary clutch turn the engine off. I've gotten one of their aftermarket Rapid Response clutches and the weights and spring are for a gas engine which tend to have a wider RPM range than a diesel. Deere could have not had this problem if they would have just put a spring in there to lower engagement pressure. MBDiagMan.I had to trim about 1/2" off the shaft, slid the adapter on, put the clutch on, and torqued it down. Works Great. I'd recommend getting a steel one.
