I am looking for a gas piston rifle and thought about getting a MCX but when I started looking at them, I kept hearing about Gen 1, 2, and now 3 and how parts from the Virtus don't interchange with the Legacy. Its been a hell of a year sourcing parts for my build. I got a sig virtus upper and found a complete mcx legacy rifle. I sold the legacy upper and I am now using the virtus upper on teh legacy lower. I didnt even think to see if the legacy lowers were compatible with virtus uppers.Price is around $2000 and he thinks it’s pretty fair given the perks and the ease of switching between 5.56 and 300BLK. This can stretch the entire receiver body. It's only aluminum. You need to clamp the barrel as close to the device as possible or use a barrel extention bar that locks the lugs.
