Why wont my fourwheeler start.

Last night I was messing with it.. pulled the plug on the actuator to make sure it was absoulutley clean, plugged it back in, turned key on, hit the 4wd switch and it engaged.. tried it several other times and it sounded like it would hang up or "delay" before engaging or disengaging.Here’s a more detailed list of the reasons why your car won’t start: 1. 1 post · Joined 2016. #1 · Feb 3, 2016. I have a 1999 quadrunner 500 4x4. It ran just fine when I parked it 2 months ago. Now I can't get the tranny into neutral and therefore I can't start it. It feels as though it will move through about 2 gears, but no more. I tried pushing it,, rocking it and cussing at it, but no luck.

Once it would start clicking, I would take a screwdriver and loosen and tighten and move the battery cables around on the terminals. 100% of the time, it was the cable connections at the battery.

If not it could be either relay from the brake lever or neutral sensor is bad or you have no ground for the starter solenoid. Simple check for the solenoid is jump from the battery feed for the solenoid to the black wire terminal. It should engage, if not check the ground and if it's good and it still does not engage your solenoid is bad.

If you don’t hear a clicking then you have to make sure that you have power to the solenoid from the key switch. To test the solenoid, you need a multimeter. First, disconnect the battery.
