The fucking estoc just has rediculous range, coupled with the lag it's increadibly hard to outrage it, and only few weapons actually can in theory anyways. I use a Dark Estoc +10 on my SL120 Pyro build that hits pretty hard. Definitely pisses people off. I don't start with my pyro glove visible so once people get frustrated (with the Estoc or Witch's Locks) I'll start snaking them with the magics. Generally for critical dmg only its > high base dmg weapons 650ish starts to outdmg rapier -700 ohtclasses them by a lot > rapier > estoc > bandit knife.For pve I'd say the estoc definitely, the better range and the horizantal slash on the one handed R2 will help a lot. For pvp it depends, the rapier has higher critical damage but the estoc has higher base damage, making it a better choice for turtling. The only way to boost it's damage is with refinement. Chaos does, which is also Fire damage, but you need both Int and Fth for the weapon to scale well. The Washing Pole leaves much to be desired (C/C at +10) as Chaos, but the Estoc (+10) gets B/B, so it's not terrible. Lightning scales off Fth, and both weapons gain A (at +10) scaling.
