FWIW I was 3-4 cm dilated and 70% effaced for at least a month before I gave birth and I still ended up being induced at 40+5. 🤷🏻♀️ you can go from absolutely nothing to giving birth in a day so it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Don't want to get your hopes up, but with my son I had my first cervical check at 35 weeks, 4 days, and was 3 cm dialated and 80% effaced, and went into labor 2 hours later!
