The ReShade files are sourced from the website and via an install, same for the GShade files (but mind the dev has done some shady malware-type stuff in the past that led to people avoiding his install/app), and the d3dcompiler_47 file is from Microsoft in some update I think. It's really easy, tbh! All you need to do is: Download and install Gshade . Locate the game's executable Choose the basic presets they give you Download and install (drag and drop them inside the gshade-presets folder, inside your pso2_bin folder -replace if needed) the presets you can find here but use only the ones inside the FFXIV folder
This uses the base shaders that come with reshade, not the custom ones that were tweaked for XIV that gshade used. Gshade is a fork of ReShade but ReShade is open source so you’re safe using that. RS is the original anyway . Alternatively, they can install ReShade – an open-source alternative to GShade – and migrate to it. Moreover, players are being advised that they should install ReShade before completely uninstalling this buggy software.
They are not related to each other. I fixed this problem by randomly instaling Gshade to several .exe from boot and game folder. I have the same issue. It only works on the regular launcher. No clue why. GShade only works for me when I use normal Launcher. When I use XIV Launcher Gshade menu does not work.
