When I try to start the mower, it cranks fine but engine doesn’t start. When I took the air filter and the top of the carb off, there was gas in there. Gas was coming out of the carb when I cranked it. I took the spark plugs out and they were wet with gas. There is no spark at the spark plug wires. My problem is that the specd gap on the original 318 plug was .025. A couple online Deere parts stores sell the Deere/NGK plug and show “standard gap .025” in description. However, the 2238 comes pre-gapped at .040, and NGK recommends not altering the gap by more than .008. Arrgh!1. T25 (for the stator screws but also may be three 5/16" head screws) 2.
