Hi Sdclark1956, There are two different ways you can get SMS/MMS messages on your iPad and Mac. Messages in iCloud. Turning on Messages in iCloud on allows your devices to sync messages between them. This means if you get a message, it goes to all devices and if you delete a message, it deletes from all devices.
This has been happening for about 4 months now and it seemed ok then, but now it's getting VERY annoying. It'll be 10-15 texts of the same "no subject" type for multiple contacts that I delete everyday.
