You'll need to have the local Chevy dealership handle the repair cuz on mine they found some small plastic gear that opens and closes the flap that directs hot and cold air into your cabin. When I sit in my 2008 Chevrolet Impala, a popping noise comes from inside the dashboard on the passenger side. I know that it has something to do with an air duct or vent which lets in air. I know this because when I switch to inside air, the noise stops.
