If you replaced the bearing only and not the entire assembly, the abs ring may not be facing towards the sensor, or maybe it's a bearing that doesn't have the abs ring. One way to tell whether the 4x4 is working or not is put it on jack stands, start it, put it in gear, see if the drive shaft to the rear wheels is spinning (it should be), then pull the 4x4 lock lever on the console and see if the rear wheels engage. .

When this happens the front turn signal blinks twice as fast and the rear does not work at all. When the blink rate is normal the rear signal works properly.
