Don't assume just because you are growing azurescens and using wood that you can forget all the sterile procedures. Unfortunately this is not the case. Also, a direct transfer from agar to wood colonizes very, very slow. Colonized grain(or brf substrate as in the above suggestion) trasfered to wood guarantees the fastest colonization.
