If you are not racing and just want to use the 5.3 as a daily driver, that 95 trans should hold. I have a 5.3 with a 1997 4L60e as daily driver and have put 10k miles since the swap. U have to get the adapter for the flexplate and longer bolts. I think the only year of the TH400 was the 1988 or 1988-1989 models. Your 1992 has a 700R4. I have no idea on what all is needed though. The oil pressure gauge and coolant temp will reuse the existing sensors/wiring you will just need adapters for the 6.0 threads/ports. Speedometer should be one wire output from the 6.0 ecm that connects to one wire from the DRAC box behind the glove box (may have to adjust output from the 6.0 ecm).

Move crank sensor wiring to area of cam sensor on ls harness. Move cam sensor circuit to timing cover area, with a striped harness you can do both without the need to extend wires.
