Phoenix Arms Model HP22A Feed Problem. I have several semi-auto pistols and wanted to introduce and teach my Grandkids to shooting pistols. Conscious of centerfire pistol ammo prices and that it would be for Range use only, I decided to get a 22LR pistol. I held off buying after seeing 22LR pistol prices that are comparable to centerfire models.

The HP22 is a fairly small pistol, not much larger than the similarly equipped Ruger LCP II Literack, and only a hair shorter in length than the Taurus GX4. Some more subtle features include a serrated hammer, a simple pull-forward takedown system, and windage adjustable rear sight via a small flathead screw.Larger spring goes under left grip - takes 1 or 2 minutes. Smaller spring goes into trigger pin and under bar - far more tedious. If you have a very small punch it will go much faster. -don't push this pin out all the way, but far enough to remove the spring. 4 stars because it's a $109-$129 gun with $20 spring kit. Great shooters.

If they were more of a high-end pistol, with steel construction, good reliability, good trigger, good sights, and genuinely useful accuracy, I would have been all over them at 4x the price.
