The first half of this hike is enjoyable as you stroll through the trails inside Griffith Park. Lots of birds, deer and other small wildlife and many shady spots. The last half is along heavily trafficked roadways and highways (this is clear on the map so it isn’t shocking). There is very little shade but many spots to stop and enjoy a picnic.
