Vintage balers on the other hand will run with much less hp because they were designed for what was popular tractor wise during their era. In the late 1950's and early 1960's most tractors were under 35 hp. Jump to the late 1970's early 1980's or after and the average farm utility tractor is at least 60hp minumum usually even larger hp.

tomd999. The 60" is a bit wide for the 2320/2025r as they have 17-18 HP at the PTO. The 60" works well on the 2520/2720's. I had a 60" Meteor on my first 2520, it was well matched to the tractor however, it would put a good load on it if the snow was heavy-wet type.You will get varying opinions on them, but have pulled all kinds of discs in the past 40 years and the 637 is a cadillac. Make sure it is either a wheatland or rockflex with the c-flex bearing standards. Both of ours are wheatland w/24 inch blades when new. They have the hyd. adjustable fore/aft level option and single point depth adjustment.The 637 will cut a bit better but that is the only plus.
