A standard ar-15 trigger isn’t compatible. To make it work you have to remove firing pin block in the BCG. I know this bc I removed it and only then did the standard trigger group work. When you throw the MCX upper on a standard AR 15 lower that whole area where the recoil assembly slides into the receiver is completely exposed and open, so if you have something that would fit over that and keep it inside then it would work, otherwise It will fly out.
