To me the 30 shoots just softer enough for you to tell it. I am actually more accurate with the 30, don't know why. A friend that is a firearms instructor said it's due to being aware of the shorter barrel and concentrating more on the sight picture.

Beyond that you wont be able to seat the mags if the mags run flush to the mag well so those would need to stick out the bottom even more.That made a difference.
