I've been fighting my 600 jr. for a long time. I can't believe I've just been fighting it for as many thousands of shells I've loaded on it. Anyway, the problems all revolve around alignment problems. The main shaft has a ton of wobble. I can wobble the machine a good 1/2" either way. In the past I've just shoved something in the size, forcing it left, and living with it. The MEC 600 Jr. is no exception. A MEC 600 JR, a tub of hulls, the Winchesters are sorted out, 2 tubs of wads - mostly Winchester, 50# of #8 shot, a box of Cheddite 209 primers, and a large assortment of powders.

I have an old (1964) Mec 600 jr that I converted to 2 1/2" 410 and a new 600 jr MK5 for 3" 410. I have loaded a lot of rounds never needed the stripper. My hulls don't hang up at the reprime station. YMMV.
