After looking on the wiki, both the Nihil Shards from Nex/Nex’s minions and the Ancient Essence are only used in their respective weapons and ancient/forgotten brews. While great for main accounts due to its high price, as an ironman you quickly can make enough potions to last you a very long time, and have a bunch of useless essence in your bank.In 162 nex kc, I've only managed to gather 106 nihil shards. And fighting minions, I've only managed to get a single drop of 4 nihil shards in 200+ kc.
