Shifters want to be using claws all the time, nothing else. I don't believe there are any WEAPONS that enhance claw attacks, but there is a fair amount of gear (belts, helmets, amulets, etc) and you definitely want to use those. Claws are a little weird. They count as weapons, meaning you cannot use claws and a weapon at the same time. Other than that, Through the Ashes occurs during the very early part of the main campaign on the timeline, and Lord of Nothing happens as your main campaign character is going though Acts 2 - 5. Completing Through the Ashes does give you an item reward in the main campaign that you pick up early on. And Lord of Nothing opens a new dungeon in Act 5.
